The initial target of 5 crore connections was achieved well before the target date i.e.31st March, 2019. Recently, the Vice President handed over the 6 croreth LPG connection under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) to Smt Jasmina Khatoon from Shivpark, Khanpur, Delhi. Implementation of PMUY has resulted in significant increase in national LPG coverage, in general and Eastern States, in particular.
